Betty Jo (Cahail) Chase age 84 of Council Bluffs, Iowa formerly of Logan, Iowa passed away June 28, 2012 at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Betty Jo was born January 17, 1928 in Guthrie County, Iowa to Ralph and Martha (Benton) Cahail. She graduated high school in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She was married to her high school sweetheart Harry Chase on April 18, 1945. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on April 18th. Even after enduring the great sadness of losing a son at the age of two days and a grandson, Betty always had a fun positive attitude for life. She loved baking for her family, working on crossword puzzles with her morning coffee, playing cards with her family and the Logan Card party friends. She always had time to play a game with her grandchildren when they came to stay. She was active in Logan Methodist Church and women’s group. Betty loved visiting with people and she never knew a stranger. In 2004, Betty and Harry moved to Council Bluffs to live with their daughter, Char.
