Daniel L. Briggs May 19, 1954 – Dec 6, 2015 Dan attended Scotus Catholic High School in Columbus, Nebraska, and graduated in 1972. He still holds three school football records of most career yards passing (2604), most career touchdown passes (26) and most career passes completed (147). He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Eileen Briggs; infant grandson, Aeryn Ray Stitnicky. He is survived by his wife, Gail; children: Danielle Richler (Cameron), Rachel Stitnicky (Andy), and Matthew Briggs (Heather); grandchildren: Olivia Richler, Reilly, Eleana and Calissa Stitnicky; sisters, Mary Ellen Emerson (Kip), and Patty Niebauer (Tom); brother, Rick Briggs; sister-in-law, Lauren Beck-Kosiba (Cindy); numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 10th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, December 11th at 10am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Catholic Charities.
