Christopher A. Larson

Larson, Christopher Aaron July 5, 1969 – July 28, 2010 Passed away at Select Specialty Hospital on July 28, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Fargo, ND on July 5, 1969, with the birth defect of Spina Bifida. He moved to the Denver, CO area, and while there, was the poster child for the March of Dimes, 1 year Metra Denver, 2 yrs State, later being inducted into the Colorado March of Dimes Hall of Fame. He moved to Wichita KS and graduated from Wichita East High School. While in Wichita, he played many years with a Handicapped Softball Team and was a member of De Molay. He moved to Bellevue, NE, and was employed by the America Gramophone, Wal-Mart, Papillion, NE; while working at Wal Mart, he attended ITT, receiving an Associated Degree in Computer Age Drafting and received a Perfect Attendance Award. He was employed by HGM Association. as a CAD Draftsman, designing a lot of the Telephone Cell Towers in the Omaha area,was presently employed by the Defense Dept at Offut AFB. Chris enjoyed the sport of Bowling at Leopard Lanes in Bellevue, Golf, and was very active with the Tangier Shrine, as Assistant. Director of the Directors Staff, riding his Mini Chopper in the Shrine parades and was National Ambassador to Shriners Children Hospital. He is survived by parents Don and Jan Larson, Bellevue, NE; sisters Cynthia (Mark) Wadley, Abiline, TX, Katherine (Corey) Borschel, Cheyenne, WY; brothers Ronald (Paula) Larson, Daniel (Christa) Larson, Wichita, KS, Nathan (Judy), Larson, Fremont NE; nine nieces and nephews, 2 grand nephews; uncles and aunts Richard Larson, Brighton, CO, Charles and Sue Larson, Eue Clair, WI, Howard and Kay Larson, South Sioux City, NE. Preceded in death by Aunt Audrey Larson and grandparents. The family would like to thank all for the wonderful care he has received over the last three years at Clarkson Hospital, Nebraska Medical Center, Golden Living and Select Specialty Hospital. There will be visiting with the family at Bellevue Memorial Chapel on Sunday, August 1, from 12-3pm with a Masonic Service at 2pm. The FUNERAL SERVICE wil be at St. James United Methodist Church on Monday at 10:30am. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Adams, NE. Memorials may be sent to the Shrine Children Hospitals or March of Dimes.
