GILES, Christopher J., Feb 26, 1963 Sep 18, 2010. Age 47, of LaVista, NE; passed away unexpectedly on Sep 18, 2010. Chris was born in Council Bluffs, IA to Kenneth D. and Marjorie G. (Sawtelle) Giles on Feb 26, 1963. A 1981 graduate of Lewis Central High School, he later attended Iowa Western Community College where he studied computer science. He married his high school sweetheart, Gilinda Auffart, in 1985, celebrating 25 years of marriage in June. They were blessed with two sons. Chris was a dedicated dad who coached hockey and served on the board of the Omaha Hockey Association. He was employed at ProKarma, Inc. Chris was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Gilinda; sons, Nathan and Jacob; mother; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Bev Giles of Council Bluffs; brother and sister-in-law, William and Valerie Giles of Memphis; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Bill Allan of Glenwood, IA; nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his immediate family, loving in-laws, dear friends, and crowds of fellow hockey fans. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Saturday, 10am, Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, 11am, St. John Lutheran Church, 7th & Willow, Council Bluffs. Memorials are suggested to Giles Children Education Fund.
