Concie Elaine Justus McPhaul

McPhaul, Concie Elaine Justus Apr 19, 1954 – Mar 15, 2013 Concie Elaine Justus McPhaul was born April 19, 1954 to Ocneva Mayo Miller and Robert Miller. Concie was the third oldest child of 5 children. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Linda Sheryl Miller. Concie, known as Connie but also affectionately called Boots, graduated from Omaha North High School in 1972. While at North High, Connie participated in various activities. Connie was the Student Council Vice President and a candidate for Homecoming Queen. She was also a member of the Black Studies Club and Track & Field. Connie was a recipient of the Goodrich Scholarship and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Bellevue University where she pursued a degree in Business Administration. In 1975, Connie was joined in holy matrimony to Paul Albert Justus. Through this union a combined family of three children was created, JonNielle, JonNeal, and Stacee. Later in life Connie wedded Connie Neal McPhaul. Connie began her employment career with Clarkson Hospital as a customer service representative. Her love for working with people continued throughout her life. She held customer related positions with HANDS (Housing and Neighborhood Developers), Service One and PayPal. Connie’s desire to help and improve the lives of others was always a priority. She loved making someone else’s situation better. One could say that Connie held a PHD in humanity. Connie loved her children but loved her grandchildren even more. She would do anything within her earthly power to ensure their happiness. But Connie’s ultimate happiness was dependent upon seeing her children and grandchildren want for nothing. Connie had an unconditional love for all she knew. Connie will always be remembered for her contagious smile, charismatic personality, sense of humor, quick wit and generosity. She will be sorely missed. Connie leaves to mourn JonNielle (David) Allen, JonNeal Justus, Stacee Justus all of Omaha, Nebraska; brother Daniel (Sharon ) Miller of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Michelle Allen and Sheila (Ronald) Estes of Omaha, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren; 3 nephews and 7 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. “To those I loved and those who loved me, release me. My work here on earth is done. God has bigger plans for me now, so just say good bye and I’ll see you again someday.” CELEBRATION OF LIFE Friday, March 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.
