Cynthia A. (Rau) Wright, age 56 of Logan, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home after a very courageous two year battle with cancer. Cindy was born October 6, 1957 in Harlan, Iowa to Michael and Dorothy (Peterson) Rau. Cindy graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1976 and then went on to Beauty School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She worked for her sister Lois at Studio 2 in Council Bluffs, Iowa as a Beautician and also in Charter Oak. Then she managed the Family Dollar Store in Missouri Valley for seventeen years. Cindy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved flowers, camping, fishing, solar lights, garden ornaments, eagles and motorcycles.. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father: Mike Rau, sister; Lois Thomas. Survivors include her mother: Dorothy and Carl Michael of Logan, Iowa; children: Victor Wright and wife Samantha of Logan, Iowa; Anna Sloan and husband Clint of Logan, Iowa; fiancée: Bobby Meeves of Dunlap, Iowa; three grandchildren: Colton Wright, Ava and Ali Sloan, sisters: Audrey Evans and husband Terry of Crescent, Iowa; Rebecca Vega and husband Robert of San Diego, California; Lori McWilliams and husband Danny of Pisgah, Iowa; brothers: Mick Rau and wife Joan of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Pat Rau and wife Victoria of San Diego, California; Ed Rau and wife Karen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Matt Rau and wife Mona of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Tim Rau and wife Tammy of Council Bluffs, Iowa; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
