SLOBOTH, Daniel J., Omaha, passed away peacefully at Bergan Mercy Hospital on Feb. 2, 2009 at the age of 86. Dan was born in Omaha on Feb. 18, 1922. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary Sloboth; sisters, Mary Miles and Virginia Fitch; brother, John Sloboth. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn (Johnson) Sloboth; daughters: Anne Bula and husband Orest of Vermont, Ellen Sloboth of Arizona, Susan Sloboth of Omaha; sons: Dan Sloboth and wife Theresa of Omaha, Tony Sloboth and wife Jan of Colorado; 5 grandchildren: Kari, Carly, Tyler and Natalie Sloboth, and Michael Bula; sisters: Betty Louk, Sally Burns and husband Bob; brother, Tom Sloboth and wife Ruth; sister-in-law, Barb Sloboth; many nieces and nephews. VIGIL SERVICE Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., Holy Cross Catholic Church, 48th & Woolworth. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Thursday, 10:00 a.m., Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary with military honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. For memorials the family suggests Masses or donations to Holy Cross Education Fund. VISITATION Wednesday, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel, and after 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
