Darell L. Lange

Darell L. Lange, age 70 of Woodbine, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home in Woodbine, Iowa. Darell was born August 10, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa to Orville and Luella (Wilken) Lange. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. He was married to Janeen Warneke on February 8, 1980 in Omaha, Nebraska. Darell was employed with Pamida for forty two years as a supervisor. He was an active member of the Immaunel Lutheran Church in Logan, Iowa for 20 plus years. Darell organized, prepared, and served dinner for many church events. Away from church he carried out various functions for holidays, graduations, and reunions. After Darell retired, he performed various tasks around the acreage. At the acreage he liked building, fixing, remodeling, and taking care of the animals. Darell, along with his wife Janeen, loved traveling everywhere in their Corvette and hosting yearly family reunions. Darell is survived by his wife: Janeen Lange of Woodbine, Iowa; his daughters: Brook Starks and Niki Lange of Omaha, Nebraska; stepson: Chad Cogdill of Gilbert, Arizona; step daughter: Niki Maestas of Tuscon, Arizona; six grandchildren. Darell is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Phyllis. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Logan, Iowa.
