WIGHTMAN-Dennis L., age 73 years, of Omaha died Monday, 8/27/07 at Josie Harper Resi dence, Hospice House. Born in Utah and raised in Fresno, CA, Dennis and his wife and children lived in Fresno and San Jose CA, Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Leawood, KS before arriving in Omaha over 20 years ago. Dennis was an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Omaha Kiwanis. He is preceded in death by his wife (and love of his life) Shirley, and leaves behind: son, Jerry and wife Lisa Wightman and grandchildren Dustin, Jesse and Reygan, all of Overland Park, KS; daughter, Kim and husband John McElfresh and grandchildren Emily and Khaki, all of Andover, MA; his brother Ronald Wightman of Salt Lake, UT. In addition to family, Dennis leaves behind a remarkable group of friends, including his golfing buddies Jack, Buck and George. There will be no visitation at the Mortuary. An informal Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Lakeside Hills Clubhouse, 17040 Frances Street, Omaha, NE 68130 on Sunday, September 2nd, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House.
