Dixie Darlene Little, age 84, of Little Sioux Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Dixie was born December 6, 1927 in Magnolia, Iowa to Charles Malcolm and Alice (Dunkle) Earleywine. She attended and graduated from Little Sioux High School in Little Sioux, Iowa. Dixie married Conley Little in 1947 in Onawa, Iowa. Conley passed away February 13, 2003. She spent many years working at Altons General Store in Little Sioux as a clerk. She enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren. Dixie is preceded in death by her parents; husband Conley, sister: Ira Lee Waters and brother; Charles Earleywine. Dixie is survived by her children: daughters; Alice Little of Kearney, Nebraska, Kim and husband Bill Bugenhagen of Missouri Valley, Iowa, son; Fred Little of Little Sioux, Iowa sisters Donna Schneider of Fremont, Nebraska, Marilyn Cooper of Little Sioux, Iowa, Nadine Breyfogle of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Carolyn Bellville of Mondamin, Iowa, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at Nealy Hall in Little Sioux following the committal service. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Little Sioux American Legion or The Little Sioux Fire Department.
