Donald G. Solotorovsky

SOLOTOROVSKY-Donald G. (Solo), age 63 years, Omaha. Born February 28, 1945. Beloved son, husband, father and doting grandfather. Preceded in death by father, Melvin Solotorovsky and sister, Randee Solotorovsky. Don is survived by his mother, Shirlee Solotorovsky of Phoenix, AZ; his wife of 41 years, Jayney Arnold (Solo) Solotorovsky; son, Corey Solotorovsky and wife, Amy, of Broomfield, CO; daughter, Alynne Wize and husband, Nathan, of Omaha. His pride and joy were grandchildren, Emy and Alex Wize. He is also survived by sisters: Susan (Sheldon) Babendure of Scottsdale, AZ, and Barbara (Mark) Null of Jackson, MS; many nieces and nephew; grand-nephews; aunt, Sandra Belgrade; cousins: Bob, Bruce and Jim Belgrade; special friends: Jan, Jack, George, Sonny, Pat, Janelle, John, Heidi and John. He found something unique and special in each and every one of his extended family. Don was a veteran and very proud of his service to our country. A wonderful photographer and computer wizard, he made many memories for anyone who asked with his creative and different outlook. He was a long-time employee of Falstaff and then Nebraska Warehouse. Getting paid for an honest day’s work was very important to him. Don fought a courageous battle with cancer. He didn’t want to leave us and we didn’t want him to go. Services Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., Beth El Synagogue, 14506 California Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials to “Donald G. (Solo) Solotorovsky Memorial Fund.” Visitation Monday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at 1411 So. 172 Street.
