DONALD ROY VAN DONGE, age 84, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley. Donald was born July 17, 1926 in Little Sioux, Iowa to Roy and Estella (Little) Van Donge. He served his country in the Army. Donald was employed in the maintenance department at Jennie Edmundson Hospital for ten years. He enjoyed fishing and loved tinkering in his shop with anything that had a motor. Survivors include three daughters; two special nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation with family will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Eagles Club in Missouri Valley immediately following the Memorial Service. Inurnment will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Little Sioux Cemetery in Little Sioux, Iowa. Casket Bearers will be Dustin Van Donge, Mark Pope, Rolland Jacobsen, Chris Pope, Terry Jacobsen and Dusty Rhodes. Vocalist will be Tara Pope singing See You Again. Military Honors will be conducted by the Julius F. Muller American Legion Post #337 of Missouri Valley.
