Dorothy Elaine Hildreth age 69, of Logan, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Elaine was born February 18, 1945 in Persia, Iowa to Donald and Bernice (Martin) Pitt. She graduated from Logan High School in 1963 and had one year of Business College in Omaha, Nebraska. Royce married Elaine September 8, 1967 in Logan, Iowa at the Christian Church. Elaine enjoyed doing many things, she loved taking trips to Omaha to shop, playing cards, listening to records, sewing, reading and she enjoyed being outside whether it was walking or gardening. Elaine loved watching and talking about sports with her dad as a kid, and all her life. She was a stay at home mom until she went back to work at Perfection Learning Corp. until she retired. Elaine also was a member of the Community of Christ Church where she volunteered for the ladies aide. Survived by her husband Royce, daughters: Stacy and Rod Leiting, Denise Hildreth, Jill Hildreth, sisters: Sharon and Keith Knierim, Pat and Paul Smith, brothers: Gene and Cheryl Maaske, Melvin and Carlene Pitt, and grandchildren Evan Leiting, Kennedy Bailey. Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.
