Dr. Sebastian A. Spagnuolo

SPAGNUOLO-Dr. Sebastian A., of Omaha, NE, passed away at the age of 81 on Sunday June 3rd, 2007. He is survived by his loving daughters: Vittoria Lawson-Yaphe of Denver, CO, Lisa Anne Spain of Olathe, KS, Michelle Spagnuolo of Omaha, NE, as well as their mother, Lucy Spagnuolo. He was also the proud grandfather of four; Jakob, (9), Austin, (3), and 14 month-old twins, Ben and Jack. He was a 1948 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), and attended the University of Panama in Panama City. He received both his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the Universidad Interamericana in Saltillo, Mexico. Fluent in five languages, he was a professor of Romance Languages, Literature, and International Business at Parson’s College in Fairfield, IA, UNO, and Iowa Western Community College. He also had an extensive career with several Nebraska-based companies, spanning the globe as an International Sales & Marketing Director. He resided in Latin America for many years before returning to Nebraska and marrying Lucy Spagnuolo in 1963. He will be remembered always as a brilliant man who loved life and learning; but, most of all as an adoring husband and father. Vigil Service Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., West Center Chapel. Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:00 a.m., Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, West Center Chapel.
