Ed is survived by his children and spouses: Sandra Kapple, Dennis and Mary Ann Dice, Carroll and Gary Smith, Suellen Dice, Gary and Sylvia Dieter, Rita and Joel Hennings, Mary Parson, James Dieter, Janet and Kenneth Upton, Timothy and Michelle Dieter, David and Susan Dieter, Susan and Randall Harder; sister, Dorothy Kemp; brother, Paul Dieter and Caroline; sisters-in-law, Germaine Sorensen and Lois Sorensen; brothers-in-law: LeRoy Hansen, Robert Kempnich, Raymond Sorensen and Carl Baulisch; several grand, great- and great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; lifetime friends, many from his work as a heavy equipment operator for over 35 years.
