Edward T. Mines

MINES, Edward T. Nov 11, 1939 – Jul 30, 2014 Husband, father, businessman, fisherman, hunter, adventurer, traveler and friend. Lifetime member of VFW Post #2704 and member of American Legion Post #331. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernadette Kelly-Mines and sister, Bernetta Mines-Jindra. He is survived by wife, Mary (Szczepanowski); daughters and spouses, Kelly and David Almquist of Fremont, Nebraska, Jody and Robert Clinker of Simi Valley, California; son, Edward “E.J.” and Jane Mines of Allen, Texas; grandsons: Zach Almquist, Trey Almquist, and Cody Mines; brother, Jerry and Karen Mines; sister, Patty and Ralph Henderson; an abundance of nieces and nephews; Godfather to many. To all those angels who kept us going, we thank you, we love you. VISITATION begins Tuesday, August 5th at 4:30pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield, Nebraska, with WAKE SERVICE at 6:30pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Wednesday, August 6th at 11am, St. Joseph Catholic Church with military rites by U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard and American Legion Post 331. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, with memorials being directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church Education Building Fund in Springfield, Nebraska.
