Fannie (Nanfito) Remar

REMAR, Fannie (Nanfito), age 84, Omaha. Born August 14, 1924. Preceded in death by John, her husband of 52 years, and parents Charley and Patricia Nanfito. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Willy Johnson, Omaha; grandchildren, Megan, Kyle and Rachel; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan, AR; grandchildren Lindsay and Ryan; son Bob, FL; grandchildren Jarrod, Stacey and Mike Bradley; great grandchildren, Michael and Dylan; sister Ann Goehring, Omaha; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Chris Nanfito, Ft. Calhoun, NE; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen and Larry Lovette; nieces and nephews. Fannie loved being with people, she was the `Bread and Butter lady” at the Lenten Fish Fry’s at Blessed Sacrament Church for almost 40 years, a member of the Sweet Adelines since the early ’70’s, an active member of the Purple Heart Women’s Auxilliary, and a devoted volunteer to the men and women at Thomas Fitzgerald Veteran’s Home. Fannie always had a smile on her face, a song in her heart, and her arms open to embrace every one she met. Family and friends will sadly miss her. VIGIL SERVICE Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Thursday, 10:30 a.m., Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment, Calvary. Memorials to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home. VISITATION from 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the West Center Chapel.
