Francis “Frtiz” Etringer

ETRINGER—Francis M. “Fritz”, age 79 years, Omaha, died Sept. 26 after a lengthy illness. Born Nov. 22, 1925 in Gilbertville, IA to Frank and Anna Etringer and married Phyllis Bruening Aug. 6, 1953. Mr. Etringer worked as an alcohol and drug rehabilitation specialist at the Omaha Veterans Administration Medical Center for 25 years from 1975 to 2000. Preceded in death by sister: Viola Anderson; brothers: Pete and Jerome. He is survived by his wife; 6 children: Tim, Castle Rock CO; Randy and wife, Cressie, Olive Branch, MS; Joan Davis and husband, Pat, Norfolk, NE, Michele Kennedy and husband, Eric, Gretna, NE, Nancy Babe and husband, Mark, Kristen Sortino and husband, Todd, all of Omaha; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters; 5 sisters: Marie Schuman and Marcella Dunwald, Waterloo, IA, Sr. Francanne Etringer, S.S.N.D., New Orleans, LA, Theresa Vieth, Jesup, IA, Collette Rottinghaus, Gilbertville, IA.

ROSARY Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., West Center Chapel. SERVICES Thursday, 11:15 a.m., St. Cecilia Cathedral. Memorials to St. Cecilia Cathedral Grade School. VISITATION from 3:00 p.m., Wednesday. at the West Center Chapel, and from 10:00 a.m., Thursday at St. Cecilia Cathedral.
