Preceded in death by parents, Frederick D. and Gladys Simpson; sister, Marilyn Ford; first wife, Susan Reed Simpson. He is also survived by children: Frederick R. Ted Simpson (Mary) and Mary Sue Shannon (Jim); stepchildren: Julie Connor (Keith), Robert Rohling (Kim), Rebecca Braggins (Rob), and Tom Rohling (Anne); granddaughter, Erin Shannon; ten stepgrandchildren. VISITATION with the family Tuesday, July 1st from 5pm to 7pm with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel. VISITATION will continue on Wednesday, July 2nd, 5pm to 7pm at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa. MEMORIAL SERVICE Thursday, July 3rd at 11am at First United Presbyterian Church in Atlantic. Interment, Atlantic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the YMCA in Atlantic, Iowa; Siena/Francis House; or Phi Kappa Psi, UNL Chapter.
