Garry Lee Knauss, age 74, of Logan, Iowa passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Garry was born September 24, 1938 in Logan, Iowa to Clyde and Erma (Daugherty) Knauss. He graduated from the Logan High School. Garry was married to Connie Schiable, June 5, 1987 in Omaha, Nebraska. Garry worked for Vickers in Omaha for forty years. Garry enjoyed woodworking, farming, camping, traveling, doing little repair jobs, nascar racing, old tractor and golfing, but most of all family. Garry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wendell Knauss, sister, Donna Thomas and husband Glen and his infant son Steven, sister-in-law Doris. Survivors include his wife: Connie of Logan; daughter: Virginia Carper and husband Tim of Council Bluffs; sons: Mike and wife Shari of Meridian, Idaho; Scott and Rodger of Missouri Valley; step-son: Darren Holm and wife Robin of Austin, Texas; step-daughter: Christy Stewart and husband Terry of Panama City, Florida; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Marilyn Knauss of Harlan; nieces; nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with a Prayer Service at 6:15 p.m. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the church immediately following the service.
