Survived by wife, Ginger Petersen-Britt; 5 sons and spouses, Gerald Jr. and Lisa, Omaha, Stephen and Brigitte, Cologne, Germany, Brian and Jessica, Blacksburg, VA, Kevin and Alison, Daniel and Rebecca, both of Omaha; sister, Florence Delhey, Fontana, WI; 10 grandchildren; 2 step-sons, Charles (Laura) Petersen Jr. Ontario CA, Eric Petersen, Omaha; 3 step-daughters, Dr. Vicki (Scott) Philben, Redding, CA, Dr. Kristine (Craig) McVea, Omaha, Pamela (Jeff) Lanza, Prairie Village, KS; 7 step-grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials to Mt. Michael High School or Matinee Musicale Scholarship fund.
