Harleth Paul “Mac” McFarland

McFarland, Harleth Paul “Mac” Jan 29, 1920 – Apr 14, 2013 Born in Norfolk, Nebraska. A U. S. Army veteran of WWII, he fought on Guadalcanal as well as other islands in the South Pacific. Preceded in death by mother and father, Mattie and Grant McFarland; brother, Rex; eldest son, Michael. Survived by wife, Margaret Ann; sons, Steve and Jeff (Lucretia); daughter, Betsy Cowles (Mike); 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred McFarland (Ruth) and Richard McFarland (Karen); nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 16, 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Wednesday, April 17 at 11am at the West Center Chapel. Private Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military rites by Millard American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 8334. Memorials are suggested to Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home.
