JENSEN, Helen L., Aug 24, 1913 Feb 7, 2011. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Lars and Iloe Jensen, her sister and brother-in-law Margaret (Peggy) and Kenneth Hayford, brother and sister-in-law Ray and Bernice Jensen, and sister and brother-in law Mary and Olen Varner. She is survived by nephews and nieces: Kenneth and Margaret Hayford , William (Bill) Hayford (all of Omaha), Russell and Brenda Varner (Lees Summit, MO), Ron and Linda Varner (Augusta, KS) and Gary and Susan Varner (Kansas City, MO). She also had many grandnephews and grandnieces, as well as great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, all of whom she treated with the love and kindness of a grandmother. A long-time member of the Rebekah Lodge, Helen volunteered at the American Red Cross for years after she retired from over 40 years of service with the Milk Market Administration (Division of the Department of Agriculture). The family will receive friends Thursday, 5pm-8pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Friday, 11am, Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 2650 Farnam. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church or V.N.A. Hospice.
