Feb 9, 1922 Sept 2, 2014 Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Josephine; son, Lonnie Tourek (Patricia); daughter, Mary Beth Barmettler (Michael); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Sobczyk and Dolly Franek; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Jerald Tourek; grandson, James D. Tourek, Jr.; brother, Joseph J. Tourek. VISITATION begins Friday, September 5th at 6pm at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 508 W Angus Rd, Gretna, with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7pm at the Church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Saturday, September 6th, at 10:30am at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post 1. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Special Olympics or St. Patrick Church in Gretna. Special thanks to the Amazing Angels Hospice staff.
