Jane Jochim, R.N.

Age 58 of Tempe, Arizona passed away at home on February 9, 2017. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 2, 1958 to Edward and Dorothy (Becker) Jochim and moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1971 where she was confirmed at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church. Her family later moved to Tempe where she graduated from Marcos de Niza High School in 1976. She received her nursing degree from Mesa Community College. She worked in the newborn nursery at Mesa Lutheran Hospital for twenty-five years and in the NICU at Banner Desert Hospital for 5 years, until her diagnosis of brain cancer in 2009. Jane was a charter member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Tempe. She enjoyed traveling, photography, reading, and cats.
Jane was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother; sister, Mary; brothers: Warren, Edwin, James, Paul, and William; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
VISITATION Friday, Feb. 17th, 9:30am to 11am at the Bel Air Chapel followed by GRAVESIDE SERVICE at Evergreen Memorial Park. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, Feb. 25th at 11am at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Tempe, AZ. Memorials to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1035 E. Guadalupe Rd., Tempe, AZ.
