Jeanne Pawloski

PAWLOSKI—Jeanne (Lunger). Born: Danville, Pennsylvania 6/3/1918 Died: Plattsmouth, Nebraska 11/6/2005. Jeanne’s early years were spent in Danville, Pennsylvania. With the onset of WWII, she joined the ANC and served from 4/2/1943 through 2/6/1946. She met her future husband while both were assigned to the 74th General Hospital in England. After the war, she relocated to Nebraska where she earned degrees from Creighton University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Committed to education, health care, and public service, she served on the Douglas County Board of Health and the Omaha Archdiocese Board of Education. An inspiration to her friends and family, she will be missed and remembered every day. Preceded in death by spouse, Bernard V. Pawloski. Survived by daughters, Michele Whelan, Des Moines, IA, Bernadette McMenamin, Omaha, NE; sister, Louise Meyers, Baltimore, MD; son-in-law, John Whelan; grand-daughter, Breanna Whelan, both of Des Moines, IA.

Memorial Rosary Service Friday, 11/25, 7:00 p.m., West Center Chapel. SERVICES Saturday, 11/26, 10:00 a.m., St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment Calvary. VISITATION from 5:00 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.
