Kara will truly be missed, her smile was the first thing I noticed about her. Prayers for all that are grieving at such a loss. Heaven has a wonderful angel now.

I worked with Kara. I always enjoyed her and looked forward to working with her on Saturdays. She will definitely be missed. She was such a bright, friendly girl and had such a great sense of humor. My prayers and condolences go out to her loved ones. What an incredible loss. Rest in peace, Kara

My condolences to Karas’s family. In August , 2010, Kara served as an early mentor to me upon starting my new position with the American Red Cross Blood Services. She understood the value of being a blood donor, and expressed in her thankfulness the worth of the individuals who donated. She was so kind, and I grieve to hear of her passing. God bless you her family.

I am so sad about Kara’s passing. I worked with Kara at American Red Cross in 2010-2011. Kara was one of those people who would brighten your day, just by smiling at you. She was so very helpful and caring. When I left ARC, I ran into Kara a couple of times out in Omaha, every time she talked about how awesome her kids and grand kids were. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I will be praying and thinking about your family at this sad time. God Bless.

Emily, Lucas, I am so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful spirit. From the first time I heard her voice on my phone, there was an instant. The times I got to spend with her as a friend, as a caregiver will always be in my heart. I know Kara was very tired, very stressed about being a burden. Through it all, she knew she wanted to be free. She wanted it her way and for that, I know she earned her wings. I will truly miss my friend and I’m blessed to know she has finally gained her Independence. Rest on my dear friend. You’ll always be loved.
