LIENEMANN, Karen Joyce (Nelson), Oct 11, 1954 May 31, 2012. Karen went to be with her Savior on May 31, 2012. She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was confirmed at Lutheran Church of the Master in Omaha, NE and was educated in the Omaha Public School system, graduating from Westside High in 1972. She attended Chadron State College for three years, and in 1980 completed her nursing degree at College of St. Mary in Omaha. Married to Gary Lienemann in 1980, Karen was mother to two sons, Daniel and Joshua. She enjoyed reading, Bible study, and nature and was an active member at Lifegate Church in Omaha. She is survived by her sons, Daniel of Dallas TX and Joshua of Omaha, NE (fiancée, Melanie Drake and her daughter, Aariah); her parents, W.C. “Bud” and Shirley Nelson; two sisters, Julie Muessel (Tim) and Kristin Shepherd (Bob); grandmother, Florence Yates Bowen; uncles, Bill Yates (Sonja) and Dick Nelson (Pat); nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 10am to 11am at Lifegate Church, 15555 W. Dodge Rd., followed by SERVICES at 11am. Private Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lifegate Church or Community Alliance.
