Larry Bele

BELE-Lawrence Bele, age 57yrs, of Omaha, passed away December 5, 2007 at the Florence Home. Larry graduated from Westside High School at the top of his class and as a member of the National Honor Society. He enjoyed spending his free time snow skiing and earning a brown belt in karate. He attended the University of Utah his first year in college, in order to be closer to the ski slopes. Larry then moved to New Hampshire, where he graduated from Dartmouth College with honors. Larry returned to Omaha to be near his family. Professionally, he was a CPA for the Federal government until he left his job because of a disability. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Essie Smith and Frank and Agnes Bele and mother, Earlene Bele, who for years, tirelessly cared for Larry and his illnesses and managed the maze of paperwork so she could be assured he would have the best care for the rest of his life. Larry is survived by his father, Henry Bete, of Omaha and Council Bluffs, sister, Barbara Warner, brother-in-law, Richard Warner, and nephews, Michael and Steven Warner, of Council Bluffs. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorials are suggested to Florence Home, Senior Living and Rehabilitation, 797.5 North 30th Street, Omaha, NE 68712. Interment; Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
