Lois E. Myhr

MYHR, Lois E. Dec 14, 1931 – Feb 1, 2014 Age 82 of Omaha, Josie Harper Hospice House. Born Dec 14, 1931 on the farm at Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada, to A. Lydia & Reinhold Krueger. She grew up as the “outdoor” daughter, gaining physical and emotional strength that served her well into her late years and final days. Raising five children, she worked many jobs and obtained her real estate and securities licenses, passing the tests on her first attempt each time. In 1957, she moved to the U.S. and joined whole-heartedly in U.S. civic life, but proudly retained her Canadian citizenship to the end. Among her varied interests, she enjoyed her writing group and computer club, and was active in Nikken and genealogy circles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and A. Lydia Krueger; sisters, Pearl and Shirley; brother, Lloyd. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joanna Myhr-Arrison and John Arrison, Mary Ellen Myhr and Tom Clark; sons and daughter-in-law: Stephen Myhr, David and Lori Myhr, Peter Myhr and his daughter Emma; sister, Iva Resch. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 5th from 4pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
