Lola M. Gesiriech

GESIRIECH, Lola M., age 92 years, Omaha. Lola was born on the family ranch south of Newport, NE. She attended rural school and graduated from Rock County High School in Bassett, NE, in 1934. For 13 years Lola taught in rural schools, in Rock County, Bassett and Springview. She attended Wayne State Teachers College and UNO. After coming to Omaha in 1947, Lola was first employed by Miller Electric. Her next job was with Seymour Smith until his retirement, after which she went to work for Jack Mayer Law Firm. Her last job was as Bailiff of the District Court for Judge James Buckley. Lola retired in 1991 at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by parents, John F. Gesiriech and Goldie M. Gesiriech; brother, John LaVern Gesiriech; sisters: Goldeen Williams, Faye Maki, and Marilyn Gesiriech. Survived by brothers: Gerald C. Gesiriech of Newport, NE, Wayne D. Gesiriech of Barstow, CA, C. Rollin Gesiriech of Urbandale, IA, Harley L. Gesiriech of Elkhorn, NE; sisters: Philomenia Pape of Bassett, NE, Jacqulyn Owens of Carroll, NE, Carol Edmunds of Lincoln, NE; numerous nieces and nephews. SERVICES Thursday, 1:00 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 216 So. 34 St. GRAVESIDE SERVICE Friday, 11:00 a.m., Stuart, NE. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church. VISITATION from 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.
