After her children entered high school Margaret began to work off the farm and enjoyed several years of employment at the Harrison County Treasurer’s Office where she retired in 1985. She and Harold were active members of the Logan Christian Church where they both served as teachers and volunteered in many different ways, with Margaret helping prepare many, many funeral lunches. Her favorite pastimes involved her flowers, shopping and traveling. She and Harold were able to take a number of trips, often with close friends, and after Harold’s death in 1990 Margaret continued her travels, taking a number of bus trips with friends as long as she was able to.
