SLOMINSKI, Margarett (Beach) (Douglas) Age 90 Margarett passed away peacefully April 23, 2014 at Brighton Gardens of Omaha. She was preceded in death by husband, Albion J. Slominski; husband, Harold Duane Douglas; parents, Jay and Nellie Beach; sister, Amelia Athen and husband Dale; brother, Jay Beach, Jr. and wife Millie. Margarett was born in Farragut, Iowa and raised in Hamburg, Iowa. She was united in marriage in 1945 to Harold Duane Douglas who died in 1958. She was then remarried to Albion J. Slominski in 1963 who died in 2011. The couple lived in Omaha. Margarett is survived by daughter Diane Douglas-Pogge and son Stephen Douglas (Marie); grandchildren: Ben Pogge, Amanda Shultz (Mike), and Sean Douglas; great-grandchildren: Elena, Lorna and Gina Pogge; sister, Geraldine Freese; brother, Gerald Beach. Margarett was a wonderful and kind person, and a wonderful mother; she will be missed. Private Family Memorial services will be held at the West Center Chapel. There will be no interment services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Alegent Creighton Hospice.
