Marvin James Shaul of Omaha, Nebraska, was taken by our Lord on August 12, 2017.  He was born in Omaha on January 23, 1929 to Floyd and Mary Shaul.  He married Lois Taylor and on July 3, 1951; they were married for 66 years.  Together they raised six children, always living in and around Omaha and Lincoln.

Marvin was a successful businessman who retired after working over forty-five years in the Dental Supply Industry. He started as a stock and delivery boy and retired as the President of the company.  Despite losing his arm at the age of 16, he was a champion golfer and pool player.  Marvin also loved reading and fishing.  The highlight of his life was playing golf at St. Andrews in Scotland, the home of golf.  He will be missed by many for his wry and constant sense of humor.

I happened to pick up the paper Thursday, August 17, 2017 to see Marvin’s obituary in the OWH. I am so sorry I missed the service as I considered all of you a little piece of my family. When I meet Marvin, years back when Danny had the bar in Hastings, I was so impressed at the way a one armed man played pool so awesome, but became even more impressed when I got to know him, what a great family man. May God Bless all of his family as you all feel the loss of losing a great father & husband. Love to all, Sue Wrieth & Kimmi & Dominik
