Mary C. “Kim” Miloni

MILONI, Mary Corinne “Kim,” age 70 years, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2008. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Glendora Sinsabaugh and husband, Joseph Paul Miloni. Mary is survived by daughter, Kristina Jo Miloni of Omaha; son, Paul Joseph Miloni and wife Sarah and two grandchildren, Angelo Paul Miloni and Antonia Corinne Miloni, all of Lincoln, NE; brother, Charles David Sinsabaugh of Naylor, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Jane and Gary Fatino of Des Moines, IA; nephew, David Kole Fatino of Sun Valley, ID; niece, Carrie Jane Fatino of Des Moines; cousin, Carol Davis Jones of Naylor, MO; many dear friends. Mary was born in Cape Girardeau, MO on July 17, 1938. She grew up in the small town of Naylor, MO, arriving in Omaha in the late 1950’s. Mary worked for S.C.O.L.A. (Satellite Communications for Learning), a 24-hour satellite network re-transmitting live television news to more than 10,000 schools and 50 cable systems worldwide. S.C.O.L.A. was founded by Father Lee Lubbers, S.J., Ph.D., in 1983. Mary and Father Lubbers worked closely with the Chinese to help people of the world learn more about each other: their languages, their cultures and their ideologies. Other conferences were held at Duke, Georgetown, Washington and Lee Universities, the U.S. Air Force Academy (U.S.A.F.A.) of Colorado Springs, CO, the University of Mexico, and the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the West Center Chapel. Interment, Calvary. Visitation from 4:00 p.m. Friday, with family receiving friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the West Center Chapel.
