GILMORE-Merl Dean, age 87 years, Papillion, NE, formerly of Omaha. Devoted wife; beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. After a courageous battle with cancer, went home to be with her husband, Frank, at 1:32 a.m. on June 21, 2006. Retired at age 78 from JC Penney Co. after 30 years of service as a seamstress; she enjoyed crocheting doilies for family and friends. Merl Dean was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Gilmore; parents, William and Willie Mae Poston, and Fred and Emma Koenig. She is survived by daughters, Phyllis Gilmore of New Berlin, WI, Jane Morrison, of Lincoln, NE; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Steve Voris, of Papillion, NE; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Karen Gilmore, of Lincoln, NE; 7 grandchildren, Jim and Clair Bloedel, of Mukwanago, WI, Libi and Jon Churchill of Sheboygan, WI, Don and Anita Morrison, of Overland Park, KS, Ray and Lisa Morrison of Memphis, TN, Jessikah and Corey Haselhorst, of Tucson, AZ, Lindsay Gilmore, of Tucson, AZ, Cody Voris of Papillion, NE; 13 great-grandchildren, James and John Bloedel, Chad, Dana and Shelby Churchill, Matthew, Mary and Peter Morrison, Kate and Jack Morrison, Zan and Saeje Haselhorst, Joaquin Gilmore.
