Mildred Obrecht

Mildred “Peg” Obrecht age 86, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away November 23, 2014 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born January 15, 1928, in Magnolia, Iowa to Elmer and Ruth (Weed) Scott. Mildred graduated from Mondamin High School in 1946. After high school she attended Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa. Mildred worked as a Beautician in Missouri Valley for many years. Mildred married Donald Obrecht June 13, 1949 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Donald passed away October 26, 2013. Peg was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Missouri Valley. She enjoyed casinos, going to BK and visiting, reading mystery books and taking the grandkids on vacation. Peg was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald, brother, Richard Scott daughter-in-law, Cynthia Obrecht. Survivors include her son: Ronald of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Grandchildren: Mitch Obrecht of Cater Lake, Iowa; Marty Obrecht of Omaha, Nebraska, Jason Obrecht of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kyle Obrecht of Gastonia, North Carolina, Brandon Obrecht of Council Bluffs, Iowa Katrina Williams of Council Bluffs, Iowa, three great grandchildren; Marisa Howell of Omaha, Nebraska, Christopher Howell of Hawaii, Haleigh Obrecht of Gastonia, North Carolina, sister Jean Sublet and husband Bill of Council Bluffs, Iowa A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday with Vicar Lucas Booher officiating. Visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
