GODINEZ, Nancy J. Jul 16, 1948 Sep 16, 2013 Age 65. Loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister who will be missed by many relatives and friends. She was born to Joseph and Josephine Steyskal on July 16, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska, grew up on an acreage in Ralston, Nebraska with her 3 sisters and one brother, and graduated from Ryan High School in 1966. She worked as an X-ray tech at Bergan Mercy for many years, as well as at Skaggs/Osco, where she fostered many long-lasting friendships. She married Fernando Godinez in 1969 and had two children, Wendy and Frank. She loved her grandchildren: Justin, Kelsey, Emma, Tyler, Jaden, and Tatum. She also loved afternoon naps, chocolate, peeps, and hot tamales. She was a movie lover, an avid TV watcher, and frequenter of casinos with her sister, Joyce. She also loved watching her grandchildrens many sports and school activities. Her hugs and kisses and warm smile will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Steyskal and her brother, Joey Steyskal. She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Salado and husband Tony; son, Frank Godinez; sisters: Joyce Karnik, Sharon Coniglio and Kris Matyja; former husband, Fernando Godinez; grandchildren: Justin, Kelsey, Emma, Tyler, Jaden, and Tatum. VISITATION begins Thursday, September 19th at 5pm with WAKE SERVICE/ROSARY to follow at 6:30pm at the West Center Chapel. SERVICES Friday, September 20th at 10am, West Center Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Mary Our Queen Catholic Church.
