Norman David Haake

HAAKE-Norman David., age 75, died at Methodist Hospital in Omaha on January 31, 2008. He was born on 6 November 1932 at the home of his grandparents, David and Kate (Jonas) Stouffer on Mission Street in Bellevue, NE to his parents, Frank L. and Jessie K (Stouffer) Haake, all who have preceded him in death. He attended school in Bellevue and graduated with the class of 1950. Norman joined the USAF in 1952 and retired with the rank of Major in 1972. In August 1955 he married Janet M. Thiles in the Bellevue First Presbyterian Church. They have two children Brenda and Kevin. After retirement in 1972 they settled in Bethany, OK where Norm entered the field of real estate as an agent and then a closer. His career in the corporate relocation services took them to Philadelphia, PA in 1987 where he retired, again, in 2000. After many years of moving around compliments of the USAF and the real estate business they decided to keep on moving so spent the next 7 years traveling the USA in their RV. Norman is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Brenda and husband Dave Goralczyk of Brandon, FL; son Kevin and wife Pamela of Cashion, OK; grandsons Michael Haske, USN in NY; Chris Goralczyk and Joshua Goralczyk of FL; Daniel Haake in Cashion, OK; Randy Poole in OK; granddaughter Lourie (Poole) Wellborn in OK. He is further survived by sisters Marilyn (Smith) and husband Jerry Goolsby; Dorothy (Smith) and Bob Muse, all of Bellevue, Joyce (Smith) and Larry Baer in CA. Also surviving is his Aunt Mary (Stouffer) Kenmer and THE cousins Brian Stouffer, Don Stouffer, Carol (Stouffer) Noggle, Delmer and Helen Kentner, Dave and Norma Kenmer, Danand Kay Kentner, Taffy (Kentner) Armstrong, Ted and Lynn Stouffer, Linda Stouffer, Virginia (Stouffer) Bowman, Katherine (Cray) and Larry Daugherty, Jerry Cray, his in-laws, Herbert and Helen Thiles of Be] levue, sister-in-law Virginia Davis of NE City, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Norman dedicated his body to the Anatomical Society for research. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held on February 8 at 1:00 pm at the Bellevue Memorial Chapel, 2202 Hancock Street, Bellevue, NE. In lieu of flowers or plants please consider a memorial to a church or charity of your choice.
