LANGENFELD, Orlando J. “Bud,” age 90 years, Omaha. WWII combat veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart twice. Preceded in death by wife, Carmel and daughter, Patricia Vacek, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Dr. Steven Franco; two sons and daughters-in-law: John and Nancy Langenfeld, Dr. Michael and Colleen Langenfeld, all of Omaha; son-in-law, Alan Vacek of Fargo, ND.; 2 sisters, Betty Langenfeld of Omaha, Peggy Hansen and husband Harold of Kansas City MO.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. VISITATION begins Tuesday, 5:00 p.m., St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7:00 p.m. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment Calvary, with Military Honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas More Education Fund, VNA Hospice, or Columban Fathers.
