Preceded in death by wife, Etheline Margaret Kosse; ten brothers and sisters.  Survived by daughter, Mary Jo Penny; son, Jim Kosse (Karen); five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

VISITATION Saturday, April 29^th from 9:30am to 10:30am at New Cassel Retirement Center, 900 No. 90^th St., with MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 10:30am in the chapel at New Cassel.  Memorials to New Cassel Foundation.

Paul Kosse was born in Le Mars, Iowa, the ice cream capital of the world.  He was a farm boy until World War II intervened.  In late fall of 1941, Paul joined the Navy, where he served his country for four years on the U.S.S. Arkansas.

Paul met his late wife, Ethel, at a wedding dance when she was 16. She attended high school in nearby Remsen, and they became high school sweethearts.  They were married in 1944, and Ethel was happy to be a stay-at-home wife.

After the war, Paul took a job at the Curtis Company, Inc. in Sioux City.  He worked as a Mill Right, helping to build and fabricate items for homes.  During his fifteen years with the company, he was transferred to the Clinton, Iowa and Wausau, Wisconsin branches.  After leaving Curtis Company, Inc., Paul was employed for fifteen years by Payless Cashway Lumber at 120^th & Center in Omaha.  He later ran the Cabinet Shop Redel Crest in Omaha.

Paul had a woodworking shop in his basement where he enjoyed making shelves and bookcases.  He also loved gardening and was proud of his many rose bushes.

Paul’s wife, Ethel, passed away in 2007.  Their two children, Mary Jo and James, are both retired.
