Richard Eugene Poduska, Kimberling City MO, son of Wesley W and Mildred (Derr) Poduska, was born on June 19, 1931 in Pocahontas, IA and departed this life on March 01, 2013 in Cox Hospital, Branson, MO, at the age of 81. Richard was a retired supervisor for American Airlines and had lived in Kimberling City, MO the past eleven years after moving from Logan, IA. He served in the US Navy, was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus, loved playing pool, enjoyed gardening, family and friends. Richard was a loving father, grandpa and great grandpa. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Brian Poduska and Dean Poduska and one brother, Dennis Poduska. Survivors include: his wife of 51 years, Harriette Poduska of Kimberling City, MO; one son Daryl Poduska of Houston, TX; four sisters, Delores Wilson, Theresa Fleege, Janet Kaiser and Linda Driscoll; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, Mother In Law, Helen Kessling and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, in Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church, Kimberling City, MO with Father Allan Saunders officiating. A Rosary was held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday March 5, 2013 in Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City, Mo with a visitation following the Rosary. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Logan Cemetery with Father Mike Berner officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the graveside.
