Robert Bob Brothers

Robert M. “Bob” Brothers, age 85 passed away Saturday March 27, 2010 at the Missouri Valley Hospital. Bob was born on January 22, 1925 to W.C. and Mabel (Moss) Brothers. Robert was a member of the United Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. He served as a Trustee for the church as well as the Wilson Drainage District. He loved restoring old tractors and vacationing in Minnesota with family. Robert will be dearly missed. Survivors include his Special Friend Ruth Thompson, sons; Robert E. Brothers of Omaha, Nebraska; Donald D. Brothers and fiancée Shelly and son Blake Hunter of Missouri Valley, Iowa; daughter; Roxanne Shores and husband Donald of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren; Chad Duysen and wife Patty, Aaron Duysen, Todd Brothers, Kimberly Shaffar; great grandchildren Zachary Duysen, Justin Duysen, Logen Duysen, Bailey Shaffar; sister Dorothy Brothers of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother; Herb and wife Phyllis Brothers of Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty; and sisters; Ruth Ann Hatcher and Mary Ellen Kelly. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to lunch and time of fellowship at the United Methodist Fellowship Hall in Missouri Valley following the memorial service In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the Missouri Valley Hospital and Little Sioux Boy Scout Camp.
