Sarah Williams Millhaem

MILLHAEM-Sarah Williams, died Saturday, January 3, 2009., Raised in Clinton, Iowa, Sally, as she was known, was a 1950 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Iowa State University, where she met and married her husband of 44 years, Bob Millhaem. Upon her husband’s commission in the United States Air Force Sally spent her married life with Bob at many different Air Force bases and locations, including Germany (twice), France, the United Kingdom, and Honolulu, Hawaii. Sally held a Bachelors of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (1968), was a 25 year Red Cross volunteer and 57 year member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Sally was also an accomplished gourmet cook and hostess whose dinner parties were legendary. Her husband, Bob, and son, Robert Walker Millhaem, preceded Sally in death. She is survived by son James Barrowman Millhaem, Dallas, TX and daughter Martha Anne Millhaem, Omaha, NE; her brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Walker T. Williams, Denver, CO; and grandchildren Elizabeth, Robert, Matthew and Travis Millhaem. SERVICES will be held at 11am Thursday January 8, 2009, at Bellevue Memorial Chapel, 2202 Hancock Street, Bellevue. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross.
