A member of the Poor Clare Sisters of Omaha. Born in Chyzne, Poland, 64 years a religious. She was preceded in death by parents Jon and Veronika Czerwien. She is survived by sisters, Anna Podgorsky, Poland, Maggie Czerwien, Kansas City MO; brother, Jon Czerwien, Poland; nephew, Jan Podgorsky, Illinois; other nephews and nieces; community of Poor Clare Sisters. She was a registered professional nurse in the State of Missouri, and held the secret recipe of the Poor Clare coffee cake.
VISITATION begins Thursday, Feb. 16th at 5pm, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 6pm at the Franciscan Monastery of St. Clare, 22625 Edgewater Road, in the Portiuncula Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, Feb. 17th at the Monastery of St. Clare, Portiuncula Chapel. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Poor Clare Sisters’ Formation Fund.
