Steve was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Millard South in 1987. He was the son of Steve and Margie Konfrst and grew up surrounded by family: four brothers, three sisters, many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was extremely close to his maternal grandmother, Tillie Mach, and enjoyed he adventure of growing up in a crowd.
Steve achieved his lifelong goal of finding his beautiful bride, Regina, and having a son, Braxton Steven. Steve loved to be outside which contributed to his love for sports, particularly softball, golf and bike riding. He loved a good joke and brought much laughter wherever he went, but he was extremely protective of family and friends. He would say, “Don’t mess with my family, my truck, or my dog.” He had an extended career at Precision/DXP and made many friendships which he maintained after he went to work as a sales manager for Nebraska Iowa Industrial Fasteners. His quick wit and gentle nature was disarming and turned mere acquaintances into friends who will miss him greatly.
