Survived by husband, Patrick L. Becker; children, Jason and Ellie; parents, Michael and Kathryn Farrens; siblings, Bryan Farrens and Scott Farrens (Trista); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Neil and Paula M. Becker.

 

The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 23rd from 6:15pm to 7:30pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7:30pm at the church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Friday, Feb. 24th at 11am, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Entombment, Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorials to the Becker Children Education Fund.

    Tanya was our son Tom’s favorite teacher at Beals. One of our favorite family photos is all four of our sons taken with her in her wedding dress at the reception.

    Life is not fair. Our condolences to the family.

    Words can’t begin to describe how saddened I am by Tanya’s passing!! I have so many great memories from our time in college. My sincere love to her family and especially her children! May you find peace in this sad time!

    So sorry to hear of this news. She was my favorite teacher growing up at Beals, and I fondly remember the fun of 4th grade with her. A favorite picture of mine is with my brothers and her on her wedding day. My condolences.

    Dear Mick & Kathy,
    Although we were good friends for a relatively short time many decades ago at DWU, please know that I am truly saddened by the loss of your Dear Tanya. Having read the many messages of remembrance, it is obvious that Tanya is an amazing woman who will be missed by everyone.     My heart and many prayers go out to the Becker and Farrens’ families. Tanya was a wonderful and compassionate teacher at Beals Elementary School. Our daughter, Jenna, had her in fourth grade and she was definitely one of her favorite teachers! My husband and I were drawn to her infectious personality, her enthusiasm fir life and her HUGE heart.

    I am so very sorry to hear about Tanya. She is one of a kind, she was always so nice to everyone in college and in the sorority house. She was always happy and wore such a big smile all the time. I have been thinking of your family and praying very hard for you.

    Family,
    Tanya, was the best teacher who helped me have confidence who gave me life. The most beautiful person I ever met in third grade. She will always live in my heart and everyone’s else’s . Just keep your head up high and smile she would always say .
