Timothy Scott Skeen

Timothy Scott Skeen, age 49, of Logan, Iowa passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Timothy was born August 3, 1964 in Denver, Colorado to Harry and Carolyn (Schoen) Skeen. He graduated from high school in Hay Springs, Nebraska. He then attended the Blackhills School of Mining, earning his Bachelor Degree in Geological Engineering. Timothy was married to Della Burrows, October 7, 1989 in Rushville, Nebraska. He was employed with the US Army Corps. Of Engineers Omaha. Timothy enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. His favorite thing was to watch his three children in their many sport activities. He spent many years coaching his children’s teams. In his free time he worked diligently on his house making it a beautiful home for his family. He was the rock on which his family stood. He gave his kids the strength of character that has made them the pride of his life. Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife: Della of Logan, Iowa; daughter: Amanda Skeen of Omaha, Nebraska; sons: Alex Skeen of Ames, Iowa; Andrew Skeen of Logan, Iowa; parents: Harry and Carolyn Skeen of Hay Springs, Nebraska; brother: Troy Skeen and wife Tori of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister: Tia Hanks and husband Cory of York, Nebraska; father and mother-in-law: Bryan and Lavonne Burrows of Hay Springs, Nebraska; sister-in-laws: Carol and Steve Elwood of Rushville, Nebraska; Alynn and BJ Peters of Gering, Nebraska; brother-in-laws: Roy and Marlys Fiscus of Gordon, Nebraska; Clifford Burrows of Hay Springs Nebraska; nineteen nieces and nephews and one great-niece. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Immanuel Lutheran Church immediately following the service.
