Russell E. Van Horn Sep 15, 1934 – Apr 9, 2016 Age 81. Russ Van Horn spent his professional life in commercial real estate with Western Securities where he began in 1963, and also with BI Mortgage and National Bank of Commerce. He was the developer and original owner of Beau Manoir Townhomes in Omaha. In retirement, he enjoyed his family and friends in Omaha and at his second home in Lake of the Ozarks. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alice Van Horn; daughter, Tami Van Horn; sisters, Louise Howell (Jim) and Roberta Lake. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan; five children: Kimberly Grassmeyer, Robert Van Horn (Jayme), Deborah Fleming (Jim), Jenifer Malec, and Michelle Witters (Dan); six grandchildren: Jeffry and Justin Grassmeyer, Aaron and Jonathan Malec, Jessica and Emery Witters; siblings: Dean Van Horn (Joni), Wendell Van Horn, Charlotte Christensen, Jere Green (Russell) and Richard Van Horn, many respected colleagues in the real estate industry; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. SERVICES in conjunction with a MEMORIAL SERVICE for his daughter, Tami Van Horn, will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 11am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 11615 “I” St. in Omaha. Internment for Russell and Tami will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. VISITATION will be on Friday, April 15th from 6pm to 8pm at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Memorials are suggested to King of Kings Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
