George M. Vercruysse Feb 3, 1920 – Jan 8, 2016 Engineer, inventor, and founder of Benson Machine Works, Inc. in 1948. 35-year member, American Legion Post #1; 49-year member, FOE Aerie 154. Preceded in death by first wife, Mary M., and brother, Arthur. Survived by wife, Marion; son, Bob Vercruysse (Charlene); daughters, Janice Hursey (Duane) and Diane McClain (Marlyn); stepsons, Steven Naab and Don Naab (Nancy); brother-in-law, Alfred Ragole; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. VISITATION begins Sunday, January 10th at 5pm, with VIGIL SERVICE to follow at 7pm, all at the West Center Chapel. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, January 11th at 11:15am at St. Cecilia Cathedral. Interment, Calvary Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #1. Memorials are suggested to St. Cecilia Cathedral.
